Le halwa à la carotte est la toute première recette de dessert que j’ai apprise et publiée sur le blog il y à 7 ans !
Ma mère y mettait parfois du safran pour la rendre plus festive lorsque nous avions des invités à la maison. Ici, j’ai décliné cette base de carotte douce et sucrée en un cake moelleux aux épices douces ⭐️
POUR UN GÂTEAU D’ENVIRON 20 CM DE LONG
PRÉPARATION : 60 min
INGRÉDIENTS
◆ 250 g de carottes râpées finement
◆ 4 œufs
◆ 100 g d’amandes en poudre
◆ 90 g de noisettes en poudre
◆ 1 cuillerée à soupe de garam masala
◆ 1⁄2 cuillerée à café de graines de cardamome
◆ 150 g de sucre roux
◆ 5 cl d’huile de coco liquide
◆ 100 g de farine
◆ 1 pincée de sel
Glaçage
◆ 300 g de cream cheese type Philadelphia®
◆ Graines « pan masala »
◆ 50 g de sucre glace
◆ Le jus de 1 citron jaune
Préchau ez votre four à 180 °C (th. 6). Éplucher et râpez les carottes.
Faites blanchir les œufs avec le sucre roux, ajoutez l’huile de coco liquide et le garam masala, puis la cardamome et la pincée de sel.
Mélangez les poudres d’amande et de noisette avec la farine, incorporez-les petit à petit à la préparation aux œufs, puis ajoutez les carottes râpées.
Chemisez votre moule à cake et versez-y la pâte à gâteau, puis enfournez pour 45 minutes.
Pendant ce temps, préparez le glaçage : détendez le cream cheese avec le jus de citron et incorporez le sucre glace. Réservez au frais.
Une fois le cake cuit et refroidi à température ambiante, démoulez et versez le glaçage sur le dessus, et terminez avec les graines « pan masala ».
Servez avec un tchaï latte bien chaud !
